DRINKING WATER ADVISORY:
OWASA RECOMMENDS BOILING OUR WATER AS A PRECAUTION FOR YOUR AREA
DUE TO REPAIR OF A LEAK IN OUR PIPE AND INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE
Dear OWASA Customer:
We recommend that you use bottled water or boil OWASA water for one (1) minute and let it cool before using it for:
- Making ice,
- Food preparation,
- Brushing teeth, or
- Other purposes that involve consuming water.
BOILING OUR WATER IS A PRECAUTION when water service has been interrupted. We have no indication at this time that our water is unsafe to drink. To ensure the water is safe, we have collected samples from the area for testing in our laboratory. We expect to receive the results within 24 hours and will notify you and other customers when there is no further need to boil our water or regarding any further precautions or restrictions on using our drinking water.

You may experience discolored water (red, brown, or milky colored) which can be caused by harmless sediment and/or air bubbles. To clear up the discoloration, we advise you to run cold water through your bath tub or other faucet for 5 to 10 minutes. If discoloration persists after performing these measures, please contact us immediately.
