OWASA, American Red Cross invite citizens to give blood on Thursday, August 21st

The American Red Cross, OWASA, Anna Maria’s and Whole Foods Market-Chapel Hill will co-sponsor a blood drive on Thursday, August 21st from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM in the Community Room at the OWASA Administration Building, 400 Jones Ferry Road, Carrboro.
Caroline Allison, Donor Recruitment Representative with the American Red Cross, Carolinas Region, said “The blood supply always runs low in the summer, but this summer has been especially tough. While there is a constant need for all blood types, donors with type O positive, O negative, A positive, A negative and B negative are asked to take an hour to donate right away.” Read more...
