Part of Prestwick Road east of Hamilton Road will closed to traffic from Monday, June 26th until late September due to sewer repair

On Monday, a contractor working for OWASA will begin a sewer repair which will close Prestwick Road to through traffic and parking from Hamilton Road east to the entrance of the parking garage on Prestwick Road.

The work will likely be complete in late September, but weather and other conditions may affect the start and completion of work.

The map below shows the location of the roadway to be closed.

During initial construction, the parking garage entrance off of Hamilton Road will be closed and only the parking garage entrance off Prestwick will be accessible from the detour to the east.

The contractor plans to install ramps in the week of June 26th so drivers can access the lower parking deck through the Aloft Hotel driveway off of Hamilton Road. Pedestrian ramps will be available along the south side of Prestwick.

The purpose of the sewer repair is to help maintain reliable sewer service and prevent wastewater overflows.
