Todd Taylor, P.E., recently joined OWASA as the utility’s new General Manager of Operations.
He is responsible for services and facilities including the drinking water and wastewater treatment plants; the water, sewer and reclaimed water pipe systems; laboratories; and maintenance.
Before coming OWASA, Todd worked as a consultant with Jewell Engineering in Kernersville, NC; as Town Engineer and then Public Works Director in Harrisburg, NC; as a Project Manager with the City of Charlotte Engineering Department; and for a general contractor.
He has 14 years of experience in the engineering and utility fields.
Todd received a Master of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University in 2009, and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in 1999 from Bluefield State College in West Virginia. He also has multiple State certifications in operation of water and sewer systems.
Originally from Tazewell, Va., Todd and his wife Jessica have a three-year-old son, Gabriel.
