01 Oct Rate Increase Goes into Effect October 1
A 15% rate increase for OWASA customers went into effect today, October 1, 2024. Residential customers will see an average increase of $12.32 on their monthly bill after October 1. Commercial customers may notice a slightly larger increase on their bill. Any water consumption after October 1 will be billed at the new rate.
This rate increase was approved by OWASA’s Board of Directors to support OWASA’s capital improvement projects like water and sewer main replacements, to improve the resiliency of our infrastructure, and the construction of a PFAS drinking water treatment facility at OWASA’s Jones Ferry Road campus.
