OWASA’s Board of Directors met on Thursday, November 10, 2022, and considered an agenda that included an update on PFAS.
Western Intake Partnership
The Board authorized OWASA’s Executive Director to file applications on behalf of OWASA as the property owner for various permits required for the Western Intake Partnership Project.
PFAS
The Board received an update on a class of manufactured chemicals called PFAS. The chemicals are being studied for their potential health impacts and regulations on these chemicals in drinking water are expected from the Environmental Protection Agency.
