17 Jun OWASA Board of Directors Meeting Summary – June 13, 2024
On June 13, 2024, the OWASA Board of Directors met to vote on the Fiscal Year 2025 budget and proposed 15% rate increase for water and sewer services. The budget and rate increase were approved by the Board. The rate increase will go into effect October 1, 2024. Additional important updates include:
- New leadership was elected: Mel Kramer, Chair; Kyle Onda, Vice Chair; and Pedro Garcia, Secretary. They will begin their terms on July 1, 2024.
- A resolution was approved to honor Jody Eimers service on the OWASA Board of Directors. Jody was appointed by Orange County and served on the Board for six years.
- The Board agreed to cancel the July 11 and August 8 meetings due to summer travel schedules.
