14 Oct OWASA Board of Directors Meeting Summary – October 10, 2024
On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the OWASA Board of Directors met to receive updates and discuss several important matters, including:
- A draft of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2024: The audit of OWASA’s financial records and statements is being finalized and was found to be in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- An update on OWASA’s efforts to support Western North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene: The Board approved a resolution updating our North Carolina Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement.
- Discussed strategies for assessing risks associated with budget decisions: The Board agreed to an interim approach proposed by staff for quantifying budget risks for Fiscal Year 2026.
