18 Sep OWASA Board of Directors Meeting Summary – September 12, 2024
On September 12, 2024, the OWASA Board of Directors met for the first time since June. Important updates and actions include:
- Updates on OWASA’s Service Line Inventory and Replacement Program- In October, OWASA will publish its Service Line Inventory online in accordance with the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions. The inventory includes the material make up of service lines in OWASA’s service area.
- The Board approved a resolution honoring the service of Mary Darr, P.E. to the Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Orange County communities. Mary Darr is retiring on November 1, 2024, after more than 30 years with OWASA.
- Updates on the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Program and Equal Employment Opportunity for Fiscal Year 2024; the Capital Improvements Program Semiannual Report; the Preliminary Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2024; and the Annual Report of Disposal of Surplus Personal Property.
