16 Oct OWASA’s Service Line Inventory Now Available
OWASA’s Drinking Water Service Line Inventory is now available online at http://owasa.org/lead-and-copper. OWASA has been working diligently to verify the material make-up of all customer-owned and OWASA-owned service lines in our service area. Our initial community-wide inventory found no lead service lines in our service area.
Visit our online map and search your address to confirm the material of your service line. A handful of customers have galvanized service lines that require replacement. OWASA will reach out to you directly in the coming weeks with more information about replacing your service line.
OWASA’s service line inventory was produced in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, and Lead and Copper Rule Improvements, which require water utilities to produce a publicly available drinking water service line inventory and replace identified galvanized service lines, among other requirements.
If you have any questions about OWASA’ service line inventory or plans to replace galvanized service lines, please contact us at info@owasa.org or 919-537-4343.
